The immediate past 22nd Commandant, Nigeria Police Academy, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ahmad AbdurRahman, psc (+), mni, Ph.D has expressed his profound gratitude to the entire Nigeria Police Academy Community for the supports and cooperation they have offered his administration as the 22nd Commandant of the Academy.
The 22nd Commandant gave the statement in a farewell speech to Principal Officer and members of the Management of the Academy during the symbolic handing and taking ceremony at the Commandant’s Conference Room on 14th April, 2023.
As part of his valedictory speech at the ceremony, the immediate past 22nd Commandant, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ahmad AbdurRahman, psc (+), mni, Ph.D, noted that, he could remember in January, 2022 when he took over the affairs of the Academy from his Course mate, the 21st Commandant, Late Assistant Inspector General of Police, Lawan T. Jimeta, psc (+). He therefore, called for a minute silent in honor and prayer for soul of Late AIG Lawan T. Jimeta, psc (+). He prayed Allah to forgive him in his mercy and bless the repose of Late AIG Lawan T. Jimeta.
Highlight of the event is the symbolic handing and taking over between the out-going 22nd Commandant, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ahmad AbdurRahman, psc (+), mni, Ph.D and in-coming 23rd Commandant, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Sadiq I. Abubakar, mni to mark a new dawn in the history of the Nigeria Police Academy.
Present at the epochal event include, the Deputy Commandant, CP Lawal Badru Banji, psc (+), mni, the Ag. Provost, Prof. Salisu Abdullahi Adamu, the Ag. Registrar, Barr. Ekpere Fidelis Ezeugwu, the Ag. Librarian, Mal. Heider Aliyu, the Academy Bursar, DCP Rabo Ishaku, Directors and other Senior Officers of the Academy.
