The authority of The Nigeria Police Academy has commenced its Automated Selection Board Interview for applicants of 9th Regular Intake, who sailed through the Computer Based Test (CBT), the Physical Fitness and Medical Screening Examination in the ongoing admission exercise.
Declaring the Automated Selection Board open, the Commandant, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ahmad Abdurrahman, psc (+), mni, re-affirmed his resoluteness to ensuring that the selection process is deviod of personal or parochial influence.
It could be recalled that the Commandant had earlier pledged his commitment to Nigerians that only candidates who meet the prerequisites for admission, and are trainable and amenable to rules and doctrines of training would be admitted.
The Commandant added that the role of the nation’s Police Force is critical to the internal security of the country. Thus, it requires Nigerians with patriotic and sincere zeal to the service of humanity and the nation.
Pursuant to the realization of admitting the best and trainable young Nigerians, the Commandant adopt the digital system that is capable of eradicating human influence in the selection process.
The constitutes of the Board members indicates a reflection and representation of credible public officers with vast expertise and experience in selection process.
The members are drawn from the Academy, the Ministry of Police Affairs, The Police Service Commission, and The Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The Federal Character Commission also form part of the selection process with the view of ensuring equitable selection of qualified candidates to reflect the representation of the length and breadth of the country.
The 9th Regular Intake Automated Selection Board is the first-of-its-kind since the inception of the Academy. It is therefore, expected to be credible and transparent.
