The Commandant, Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil-Kano, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ahmad Abdurrahman, psc (+), mni, has directed all Police Officers and Cadets of the Academy to remain disciplined and committed to the ethics of professional conduct. The Commandant gave the directive in an address to Officers and Cadets of the Academy on 22nd March, 2022.
The Commandant noted that, the Nigeria Police Force is an institution established on the basis of high expectation for discipline and professionalism from all Cadre of the Force. Hence, all Police Officers and Cadets must continue to remain disciplined in tandem to professional ethical standard of practice.
Addressing the Officers and Cadets on the issue of general welfare, the Commandant was apt to reaffirm the tireless efforts of the Inspector General of Police, IGP USMAN BABA ALKALI, psc (+), fdc, NPM towards ensuring that the welfare of both serving and retired Police Officers as well as all Cadets is improved. He therefore, urged the Officers and Cadets to display pride in their conduct as they represents the pride of our great nation, Nigeria.
In this regard, he charges all Police Officers and Cadets of the Academy to be responsive and responsible to the required practice of discipline and professionalism.
The Commandant further emphasized that his brief to Officers and Cadets is in compliance to the directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Baba Alkali, psc (+), fdc, NPM in response to some unguarded statements from unprincipled and unscrupulous quarters making rounds on some media outlets aimed at bringing disrepute to the Force.
In view of this, the Commandant, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ahmad Abdurrahman, psc (+), mni warned all Police Officers and Cadets of the Academy that any act of omission or commission aimed at any form of incitiment under any guise shall not be tolerated and shall be met with the appropriate disciplinary measures of the Force.
